Why aren’t there more women executives?

Women currently hold only 4.6 percent of Fortune 500 CEO positions and the same percentage of Fortune 1000 CEO positions. While we continue our upward trajectory in the business world, we have yet to be fully appreciated for our unique qualities and abilities we bring to the workplace, including our ability to see the world through a lens of opportunity, especially opportunities previously unseen. We are master multi-taskers and collaborators. We don’t stop until the job gets done. We solve problems where others have failed. We inspire others to achieve. We enjoy a good challenge and seek to find meaning and purpose in our work. We don’t seek to be the star of the show, rather, we use our ability to influence positive outcomes with maximum impact. That’s what drives us.

We are even good for business! In a recent Forbes survey, 3 in 10 Americans said that having more women leaders in both business and government would improve the quality of life for people across the country. Are you a woman leader ready for a breakthrough? Ready to take your career to the next level? To step into your greatness?

What’s holding you back?
